Hello December!

Brawlidays around the corner!

The most wonderful time of the year is coming up in Brawl Stars, and we have the Global Brawliversary and beloved Brawlidays to celebrate. What's the best part of the season? The free stuff!

Supercell gifts players with many goodies every year. Megaboxes, power points, festive pins, and retro skins are all hallmarks of the giving season. In 2020, we were extra lucky, and supercell gifted all players Edgar.

We had two new brawlers that winter update where everyone got Edgar, and many have concluded that we're getting two brawlers this December update. Do you think we'll get one of them for free?

#Byebyeboxes

This coming update is going to COMPLETELY change how we progress in Brawl Stars. ALL Boxes are going to be removed next update, and Supercell is sending them off with a bang. Together, they have given us the objective to achieve 4-Billion takedowns to unlock the OMEGA BOX. After that, boxes will be a thing of the past.

Supercell stated that more info will be released on the Wednesday the 7th, but that doesn't stop the speculators from trying to determine what the new progression system is and why we are switching. Brawler Road is what many are calling the new unlock system, which will give players a more directional experience to pick and choose what their next brawler of choice will be.

Additionally, some speculate that Supercell is being proactive in removing boxes to be ahead of legislation that outright bans lootboxes in in major countries. Perhaps the dev team had a second thought on the ethics of lootboxes and the psychological simularities that can be drawn with gambling? Maybe we will hear more from the Brawl team on their decisionmaking in the coming weeks. Only one thing is for certain: boxes are being removed from Brawl Stars.

A note on Brawl Esports

We know, we know. You've definitely had your feeds full of World Finals news for the last week. With Zeta Division Zero taking the title of World Champions, the 2022 Brawl Stars Season came to a close.

In an interview with Frank, Esports Insider reported that the Brawl Team is continually working on creating a "sustainable esports model" that will suppport Brawl Stars many years into the future. Specifically, Frank wants the Brawl Stars model to be just as relevant "10 years from now."

In essence, the ecosystem focuses on empowering the players in such a way that anyone can take the journey, where players gradually become more engaged with the game and Esports (Esports Insider).

The interview gives us a look into the bright future of Brawl Esports and the community-based vision behind the growth of the whole system.
